That is some set-up you have JensT. Looks great and must sound sublime!
J.
It looks like it is brand new again! Very good job.
Brrrrr…
some funky music while preparing dinner
Hello stotty1111, mine had the same issue (and probably many more speakers with such a metal grill like BeoLab 7-1 etc.). I decided to just take it off, clean the plastic frame and re-attach the metal plate with a good quality narrow and thin double sided tape.
Hi Thorsten,
I might be able to help with settings that I have in my BLCs. I cannot help with settings in the A6 as I am not familiar with that (nice!) device. At ‘Settings’, have you got ‘ML enabled’ ticked?
If you did not get it working yet, let me know and we can exchange maybe some screen dumps of the BLC settings.
Regards, Johan
Hi Thorsten, this should be possible! Let me try to send you the NL/ML converter (aka BLC) manual. I think it should be set as a Video Master (as the BeoSound 9000 is already the Audio Master in your ML network). Google the old forum for BLC. I also found some good support there a while ago. Regards, Johan
BeoCom in Inventing Anna
And Penta’s, Ouverture, BeoVision 1 and BeoCom 6000 in (a Dutch series about the late eighties) Dirty Lines. One of the characters clearly liked his B&O.
B&O at work. With some Ikea, Eames and Dell in the home office mix. I gave this BC6-26 a little TLC with speakerring repair, new fret cloth and a silent fan. Now I can use it as a monitor! Nice when playing a video! Need to tidy up the cabling now.
I remember you said that when you did save my 8000s 🙂
Still very happy with them. Good to see you take such care to keep the speakers as close to original as possible.Hello MOONMAN,
I would believe it is possible with a BeoMaster that has an MCL connection. You can then use a BLC (BeoLink Converter NL/ML) to link to the BeoSound stage.
It would be quite a chain:
BeoGram 8002 – (optionally pre-amp with datalink) – BeoMaster – Converter 1611 MCL/ML – BeoLink Converter NL/ML – BeoSound Stage
With a BeoMaster with built in pre-amp (some BeoMaster 4500s have that), you could skip a box (I am not sure if more recent BeoSounds that have a MasterLink connection can control BeoGrams through their AUX sockets). It will also require some persistence to program the BLC. But unless I oversee something I believe it could work.
See this link: https://bangolufsenassistentgohe.blob.core.windows.net/manuals/APPS_AND_ACCESSORIES/BEOLINK_CONVERTER_NL.ML/BeoLink_Converter_sheet.pdf
They are only available second hand. In the Netherlands they go for 200-300 euro.
Hi, that SOMETHING is the BeoLink Converter NL/ML aka BLC:
The BeoLink Converter NL/ML is a converter between the Network Link and the Master Link system and makes it possible to integrate Network Link products and Master Link products. Search for BLC on the 2012-2022 archived forum and you will find a lot of info. You will need to find one on the second hand market. Here in the Netherlands they are sold for 200-300 euro. Good luck.
Johan
The BeoLink Converter NL/ML is designed to convert control signals and audio signals between Master Link products and Network Link products. Analog audio signals from products in the Master Link system are converted to digital signals by the BeoLink Converter NL/ML and transferred to the products connected on the Network Link. Digital audio signals from the products on the Network Link are converted to analog signals to products in the Master Link system.

Hi, AskKat64 and Stoobie, could a BeoSystem 2 (which essentially is a BeoVision without a screen) solve the problem for control? Just a quick thought. They are not expensive. If at all possible it will be a bit of a challenge to get video and audio from the VCR into your TV (maybe with a scart splitter). But maybe an option to explore. If I am making a thinking mistake here let me know. Johan
I read on the Interweb that analogue is better than digital, so I decided to try it out for myself and make up my own mind.
Nice find, looking forward to the verdict Geoff! I for sure cannot make up my mind: when I play a CD on my BeoGram CD7000, the sound goes through a BeoMaster 6500, an ML converter, a BLC, another BLC, a BeoSystem 3 and then finally to the BeoLab 8000s :-). How many digital/analog conversions would that be?
Be careful smoking the asbestos.

I hope a US member can answer your voltage question, I cannot tell.
The BeoSound 4000 for sure cannot handle HDMI signals. But there should be other options using its analog AUX input. Are you sure your TV has no Toslink optical out? If it does you would only need a little converter and the right cables (Steve has those too) to bring the TV sound into your 4000.

8 May 2022 at 01:21 in reply to: Besound 4000 replacement cables / Light Stays On & CD won’t play #34703Hi mojofml,
Nice system! Let’s see if we can help.
1. Powerlink Mk 3 will be fine, see the site sponsor’s website here http://www.soundsheavenly.com/faq/guide-various-types-powerlink-cable-bang-olufsen-use/. Steve can sell you correct cables. Ask him for any doubt!
Note that the BeoLab 6000 speakers have two PowerLink sockets. They allow you to daisychain them2. That should be fine, the B&O products take ‘C7’ cables, these will fit also when the cable has the two round ends side by side
3. Sounds good enough
4. Correct, the amps of BeoLab speakers need their own power supply cables. PowerLink cables carry both L&R audio signal, as well as the signal to switch on/off the speakers. But not the power for the built in amps of the BeoLab 6000 speakers
Hope this helps a bit.
Let us know how you progress and enjoy the system!
JohanMy BeoMaster 4500. I really like that receiver, elegant and versatile.
Johan
Hi Nick, I bought cloth from akustikstoff.com a while ago for my BeoLab 8000s. Very good material. Maybe they have a fabric that comes close to what you want?
Regards, Johan
Mr10Percent, I thought I was looking at my music collection at first!
Hi all, first post on the newly made forum. Looking forward to it all back and up and running again. Thanks Keith for all your work. Johan
