Hi Lee and Keith,
May I extend my thanks for the time, money and enthusiasm that you have both generously given to the site over many years. I think back happily on the many Beoworld prize draws, events and get-togethers that we have enjoyed, including the Beoworld party at the Kensington Roof Gardens nightclub in London (2010?) and the big Beoworld group visit to B&O in Struer in 2012 where we met the then CEO of Bang & Olufsen, Tue Mantoni.
I fully understand your reasons for wanting to move on and I wish you both the best for the future. I will, of course, be happy to continue offering financial support to Beoworld and any help required by the new owners in the day-to-day running of the forums, whoever they may be.
I have been approached by interested parties recently, who are keen to support the site, so I have passed these on to Lee. For this reason, I have confidence that the site is well placed to be able to continue long into the future as the global hub for B&O enthusiasts.
May I take this opportunity to wish Lee and Keith the very best for their future projects and to stand publicly in support of Beoworld going forward.
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi eprokos,
Thanks for your question and for your direct email, which I have also replied to. Guy is correct that we can take a fixed volume output from the Aux socket using an Aux splitter (linked in Guy’s post) and then I can make a cable to take the output signals from the Aux socket to your Bluetooth transmitter (please order any DIN to RCA cable on my site and request that it is wired as Aux output) so that you don’t need to switch cables.
The aux socket works as an input and an output at the same time. Any questions, please ask!
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi wnv,
Thanks for your purchase. Beolab 9 are very sensitive to electrical noise, so it is normal to have a small amount of noise when in use via either the Powerlink or the line input (both are wired the same way inside the speaker, so there is no difference in the performance between the two inputs). However, you should not normally be able to hear any noise if you are more than 0.5m away from the speaker in a quiet room.
The cables that you purchased are fully shielded and built to a very high quality, I test each cable before shipping. You may find that moving the audio cable away from any nearby mains power cables will reduce the amount of noise hear in the speaker.
Please ask if you need any further help, as the cables are fully covered under warranty and each purchase includes unlimited technical support and advice for your system to ensure that you get everything working to your requirements.
Kind regards, Steve.
Congratulations to the lucky winners and thanks to all the gold and silver members for supporting Beoworld – your contribution is what keeps this special site alive!
Wishing everyone (including Lee, Keith and the moderating team who work tirelessly to keep Beoworld running) a very Happy Christmas and I look forward to speaking to you all in 2024!
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi Anton,
Some B&O products won’t give an output from their Powerlink sockets unless they “sense” Beolab speakers connected, in this case an adapter fitted to the other Powerlink socket will get everything working as it mimics the electrical properties of the B&O speakers:-
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi,
Yes, you can add the Beolab 7-1 via Powerlink as an extra spkeaer, although you will only get stereo sound through all speakers, not surround sound. You need a Powerlink mk.3 cable like this one (this can connect to any spare socket under one of the 6000 speakers):-
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi ncmunk,
Yes, this is possible! Although your Beocenter receiver doesn’t have Powerlink sockets fitted, you can still connect the speakers by one of the two methods below:-
1) Connect two speakers to the headphone socket of the receiver with this cable (an adapter is available on request for receivers with the larger 6.35mm headphone socket): https://soundsheavenly.com/line-in-connection/77-241-minijack-to-beolab-line-in-using-phono-rca-sockets-one-cable-for-two-speakers.html#/2-length-1m
2) Connect two speakers to the speaker terminals on the back of the receiver using this special Attenuated Converter: https://soundsheavenly.com/line-in-connection/33-power-amplifier-to-beolab-line-in-attenuated-convertor-kit.html and then use this cable to connect the speakers to the output sockets of the Converter: https://soundsheavenly.com/line-in-connection/6-30-av-processor-pre-amp-sonos-to-beolab-rca-line-in-one-cable-for-two-speakers.html#/2-length-1m and you also need one set of these plugs: https://soundsheavenly.com/beovox-passive-unpowered-loudspeakers/74-2-pin-din-plugs-sold-as-a-pair.html
Option 1 is cheaper, but the cable will be visible at the front of the receiver and this will disable any other speakers connected to the receiver. Option 2 allows the cables to be hidden and the Beolab speakers can be used along with your other speakers if required.
Hope this helps!
Kind regards, Steve.
6 December 2023 at 05:30 in reply to: How do you live with the Bang & Olufsen app and the music? #51104What a great idea MM!
I use an old iPad Mini inside a picture frame (no glass!) on my bedroom night stand, that is great for controlling the Emerge speakers in my bedroom.

Hi,
In MCL mode the speaker will turn off if you press any button on the remote. The simple way to use the speaker with a portable music player or streamer is to set the speaker to MCL mode and then put the B&O remote away, as the phone or iPad will be used for volume control.
No special trigger is needed for this setup. Turning off the ML input via test mode 9 as outlined above is another option, but this is a bit more complicated to do.
This setup is very popular and it has brought a new lease of life to hundreds of 3500 speakers over the past decade!
Kind regards Steve.
Hi,
I am sorry but the Stage cannot be used with any other speakers, this is due to a sound delay in the Stage that cannot be removed. This would cause the Stage to echo after the other speakers have sounded.
Stage is a stand alone speaker only, there is no option to use it with any other speakers.
Kind regards Steve.

@carljh We do normally ask you to pay for gold membership before offering items for sale, in particular in this case it looks as though you are offering to sell this item commercially. Would you please be so kind as to purchase gold membership on the site so that you are helping to give something back to our community? Many thanks!20 November 2023 at 04:57 in reply to: 3 generations of the B&O app – which one would you prefer? #50552Hi Beoworlders,
Here is an open invitation link to the B&O Discord server, where members of the B&O development team are active so you can offer your feedback directly to them:-
It is also a vibrant B&O fan community and a great place to chat – I look forward to seeing you all there (as well as here on Beoworld of course!)
Kind regards, Steve.

Hi,
Yes, but you would need to use the USB-C line input of the Beolab for this, not the Powerlink input (as the Powerlink input disables the smart features of the speaker). Please feel free to get in touch at https://soundsheavenly.com with the full details of your setup and I can help with the connections.
Kind regards, Steve.
