Has anyone lost the radio functions from both the beoremote 1 and the app? I really don’t wont to do another reset!
Thanks π
Thanks, I’ll give that a go when I get home π
Absolutely, I run a mesh setup & the theatre is hard wired. Never had any issues before, but if no-one else is having problems with the connection then I’ll try a reset?
Is anyone having problems connecting to the theatre using the android app? It has started but is soo slow and keeps dropping out/ offline? Any suggestions would be great, or do I have to do another reset?
Thanks π
I completely agree with Dstefan’s post, you should be able to export/backup your current settings, so every time there is a firmware update or you have to factory re-set, you just import your settings again.
Then there is the awful BR1 remote! Please B&O work on a BR2 version, the BR1 has constant resets, drop outs, screen goes blank etc etc.
I for one do not want to use my phone as a remote, I prefer to put it away when I’m home.
Weird, Last night for no reason the graphics and menu options all came back, must have been a gremlin in the remote! π
Mine has lost the shortcut menu graphics and cant find in the list “Speaker” anymore and can’t find how to put it back. It also now has listing for lights, curtains which I can’t seem to remove. Any ideas?
Thanks
Does anyone know if you can deactivate the buttons/controls on the top of the Theatre as our cat keeps turning up the volume.
Thanks π
I don’t know, but I’ll have a squiz and get back to you.
Wow,
I didn’t know that the Theatre doesn’t support DTS either. No point trying the cable switch then. As the Beo1 remote works perfectly with the shield as is. Anyone know if B&O will add the codec down the path, I really thought it was included. Or is there an email for them so that I can request a wish- list? πAs one reviewer said:
“Itβs compatible with Dolby Atmos, TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus 7.1, and 7.1 PCM sources, but not DTS:X. It seems a little ridiculous to miss the latter off at this price, but here we are.” Also: “But it’s disappointing that it lacks DTS:X, and that none of the three input ports for passthrough to the TV are HDMI 2.1 compliant β for this price, we don’t expect to want for any established soundbar features.”More reading states that the Theatre has HDMI eARC which is capable not only of delivering 5.1 and 7.1 uncompressed audio but can also handle better high definition formats put out by Dolby and DTS.
Thanks guys
Its a Nvidia Shield. Cant use a PUC, only CEC . I’ll try connecting it this weekend directly into the BST.
Specs for audio are:
Dolby Atmos (pass-through) and DTS-X surround sound (pass-through) over HDMI
High-resolution audio playback up to 24-bit/192 kHz over HDMI and USB
High-resolution audio up-sample to 24-bit/192 kHz over USB
Audio support: AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, MP3, WAVE, AMR, OGG Vorbis, FLAC, PCM, WMA, WMA-Pro, WMA-Lossless, DD+/DTS (pass-through),
Dolby Atmos (pass-through), Dolby TrueHD (pass-through), DTS-X, and DTS-HD (pass-through)I think I found the answer, only the 2023 LG models have it enabled. π
But if anyone knows a way of getting it to work, please let me know? Thanks
Does anyone know if its possible to passthrough DTS (DTS:X)? At the moment I have my media player plugged directly into the LG G2, so that the all the Beo1 remote functions work. But it wont play DTS format.
Thanks π
The picture mute is easy, just setup/move in the LG options menu the “Screen Off” icon to the top of the options screen and then when you want to mute the screen just press on the Beo remote – list, options, enter.
I’ll check for you tomorrow, have to did out the LG remote as I don’t use it at all anymore, just the beo one. But I’m sure it was in that menu list somewhere?
wow, that’s a similar look π
by memory, you have to click on the 3 dots and add the “screen off” function (you may have to delete one of the other functions as it only allows so many on the list) and then move the function to the top of the options list?
Sorry, having to use my phone, but it’s a G2 65
I’ve attached a photo of the menu? If you’re still stuck, I’ll try again in a few days explaining it better, when home.
Just to add, I just received 2 x 50 Mtr cables ($300) to run the rear Beolab 3’s which have to go a long way to reach them! I’m over the lack of firmware updates on the Theatre, with using the receivers via the Theatre not being able to tell what speaker you are using. I’ll let you know if it has made a big difference, hoping to install this weekend! π
I run only the Theatre to the G2. I have the Nvidia Shield Pro direct to the G2, that is far far better than the G2 platform and is completely controlled by the B&O remote, my only complaint is that the “back Button” on the B&O remote isn’t bigger as its the most used button, after a couple of wines I always resort back to the Nvidia remote as it is one of the best I’ve ever used. Plus, I’m now on my 3rd battery change in only 5 months on the B&O remote!! Also I full Atmos via the Nvidia input which for some reason I couldn’t get via the G2?
Anyone know when the next update is due, I’m in Auz and running v2.3.4, it’s mid Feb and haven’t heard anything, was hoping the rear wireless speakers using the receiver 1, would be sorted by now. Is there a site where you can manually download the next update or does anyone have it?
