I think the report/presentation is generous and time-sensitive. I see a number of key fundamentals which will hurt all/every business (excluding arms manufacturers perhaps?):-

      1. Interest rates will rise dramatically. This will hurt B&Os efforts in recent years to re-finance
      2. They may have reduced ability for additional borrowing facilities (Cashflow is collapsing)
      3. Non-staged sales. Millenials will have a lot less disposable in 2022/23
      4. Overall, can see a compounding of UK outlook, disposable income with Sales hit
      5. Can expect to see a compounding of German outlook, disposable income with Sales hit
      6. Raw materials (particularly Aluminium, Nickel and polymers) price increase as western currencies devalue.

Going to get me a pair in glossy white.

Wonder if anyone will think I’ve got a pair of cheap knock-off EarPods?

From a historical perspective, https://beocentral.com/ is perhaps the best site – however, it has not been fully updated of all products for the last few years.

Some products with colour variations or MK1 or Mk2 may be lacking in the newer products (Beoplay, headphones etc). However, that can be cross references with B&O’s official site for anything missing.

Edit: I would also add that the accessories – both Beocentral and Bang&Olufsen will be difficult to track down without a Service Engineer or a good Dealer as these were normally sold under the radar with Customers wanting more specialised and complicated “around the House AV” Setups.

For me, I am familiar enough with the B&O product range to buy on-spec should I need.

I had extensive listening of the BL90 before committing to purchase.

I have purchased an Eclipse 65 Mk1 with a Dealer I have done plenty of business with – even though not the nearest Dealer to my home and had it delivered. (Self setup). I had seen the Eclipse model before purchasing remotely.

I have also purchased smaller items (say an A6), from other Dealers across the country without hearing or seeing the product beforehand.

I think value for money is a matter of perspective.

I’ve purchased plenty of tatt (the MP3 Player Beosound 2 for instance). Beolab4s. They all have had degrees of good/bad value about them. I guess if you use them and not worry about the latest thing, they work out as well-used products that do a job and fulfil a need.

I do have concern over my Eclipse 65 MK1. I baulk at the thought of having to replace the whole thing if the panel fails.

You could also include the Beolab90. These are fantastic loudspeakers (I can barely listen to Beolab 3s in the office as their sound is so poor). These were purchased when affordability was easy (and still can be for me fortunately). However, one does worry of the cost of repair should these things start to fail. Mine now have just had their 6th birthday.

My view is that B&O as we know it now will be gone for good in 6 to 12 months.

This is plainly out of the current financial wave about to hit us all. (I wrote about this a couple of months ago – before the current “conflict” which is not to blame but certainly an accelerant).

B&O will be a brand in name only – like Rolls Royce Motorcars was once and the name sold. A new set of products may emerge under new ownership but it will be detached from its current 95-96 year manufacturing history.

Sorry I cannot foresee a better outcome to all.

I use quite an aging Xytel Multy X “mesh” system. 3 nodes from my Wifi Modem/router.

I see two networks broadcasted – one is the original Wifi Router Modem and the other is the designated name from the Multy master (which one unit is hard wired connected to the Modem/Router). All the Multy X broadcast the same wifi ID.

I connect all devices to the Multy X Wifi ID. All works perfectly and continuously across 3 floors and a stairwell.

I feel you need to configure your Mesh system to a similar setup. If you are using a number of old Routers (non-mesh), it is possible to get them in relay mode toggling the internal configuration. However, the BeoApp to me would not be the source of your problem here.
