There hasn’t been any updates for ages.

Netradio runs on my V1 (and did on my old Avant 1st Gen), which is basically the same platform as the BV11.

I can not recall what I did….it is almost 10 years ago – it was no problem to get it running.
Let me think for a while – or maybe someone else can comment.

As far as I am aware all BV11’s were born with the Netradio function.
In the early-early days of the Beoplay V1 this had to be updated to get netradio.

Might be a dumb question….but are you sure that the tv of your relative is connected to the homenetwork/internet?

The ‘DPL’ port….the mysterious ‘DPL’ port ?
Noone really knows – or has revealed – what they thought of back then.
Most likely it is a port, that should support a digital output ( = no input port!), that could have been used, if they had developed further down that route.
DPL means digital powerlink – which is used on the BL90’s/50’s for the connection between both speakers.

In an update, at some point it was converted into a port for an ir-eye.
This however, is rarely used, since all newer devices (including the Core) uses bluetooth for controlling.

I guess we won’t see any changes there (for the Core as is) – the development of a newer version is rumoured.

Is it possible to plug a non-B&O analogue source into a powerlink input with some kind of adaptor cable?

No, the PL is an output….for connecting the Beolabs.

You probably mean the Deezer app in the SmartTV part of the Bsys4 (?)

As you may have noticed with the other apps there, this platform is obsolete….basicly no longer working.

In order to get Deezer to play on the BSys4, you will need an external device connected there with the Deezer app installed e.g. an AppleTV, a GoogleTV/Chromecast…….
Another way is to have a NetworkLinked B&O device in the setup, start playback of Deezer there and then Join in on the BSys4.
Using an Essence MK2 or the Core integrated with the BSys4 would even give you Deezer as a selectable source in the menu of the BSys4.

                Thanks – that worked!

Seems to be an easter egg ? placed by the app team….

I’d say….if you want a convenient solution, you can have 2 devices controlled.
As already noted, one must be in Option 4 (means pushing the Link butoon before the actual sorce button.

All other devices must be in Option 0 and will then have to be contolled manually on the device.

This ‘problem’ has been solved with the newer devices and the Beoremote One/bt, as each device can be adressed individually from one remote.

You probably won’t succeed unless you connect the device via ethernet cable to your homenetwork.

Usually updating the software (of the Beolit 12/Beoplay A8) solves this problem…..once you have gained access to it.

‘Stream Airplay 2 to a BS Century’….wouldn’t that be (even) more correct?

Despite the fact that a Playmaker only supports AP – the op did not ask for multiroom – I’d recommend the Playmaker…..if he can get one in his area.

This way he’d have both Airplay and a line-in port (with autosense) for the turntable….no fiddling with cables and/or switches.

First of all, the BS4 does not support Dab+.

However, if you are in the UK (which I presume), that should not be a problem….as far as I know there are several Dab stations available there (?).

As I undestand it, you also want to listen to vinyls in the kitchen area (?).

If you install the BS4 (masterlink/option 6/linkroom product), it will be possible to listen to the sources from the main audio setup.
However, you will not be able to listen to Dab radio in the main room/the 9500 – and also not through the 3500.

If you’d install the BS4 as the main system, you can connect the (RIAA-enabled) turntable there – but you will not be able to remote controlit…..the AUX-in of the BS4 has no datalink connection (only L/R).

                                  Please note!
For the connection from the 9500 to the BS4 you’ll need masterlink and therefore a converter connected to the 9500. This also means, that you must change the connection to the 3500 to ML as well.

The far easiest option would be to have the BS4 as a standalone unit (of cource with speakers) in the kitchen area…..if all you need there is a replacement for the Panasonic Dab.

                                            Ok – fein.

Nein BS4 hat kein ‘autosense’ bei line-in/AUX.
(A-)Aux muß gewählt werden mittels Beo4.
