Never had the opportunity to open a BS9000, so can’t comment on which type of capacitors is used.

But even though it might be SMD caps you should be able to replace these with “regular” caps (maybe lying down instead of standing) if space allows it on the PCB, and there is enough height available.

Guy had succes replacing SMD caps with regular caps on his BC2300 CD laser PCB. It was in my BS Ouverture repair thread, but for some reason that thread is not available right now .

Ok that explains some of the strange behaviour.

Actually if the error could be replaced with a text saying that the post is awaiting moderation that vould be usefull compared to before the changes where you would not know why your post did not show up.

I will see what I can do, there are still some issue with topics and the reply not showing, I can see the data but struggling to see how I can merge them back together without messing it all up or deleting something . ?

Yeah I was kinda thinking that would not be an easy one. For now I might just check the subscribe button when I am in a topic I still want to follow

Thanks for clarifying. I was suspecting that the subscription thing was not that easy to fix. For now I will just check the subscription status whenever I am in a post.

Thanks for showing where to find the links for the forum views. I guees I am not used to find features like that in the bottom of a page.

The reason for not quoting in this post is that when I tried before I got a WordPress critical error.
I also got that earlier when I tried to insert a picture in a post

Just found out that the wiew ofvthe forum can be changed with the BB button on the top bar to get this feature. Guess we just have to learn a few new things ?

Pressing BB on the top bar will give acces to different viewsvincluding newest topics. Gues we just have to get used to new ways of doing things 🙂

The search function might have issues.

When I do a search on the forum I just get a list of newest posts on the forum ( That list is also usefull, but should probably be accesed otherwise).

You are right. I remember you allready had a post about the 7-4’s. But great plan to keep it simple and now you have the ML powerbox for other stuff.

– Inserting pictures has a limitation on 1mb which is very low for pictures from a phone camera

I just now realized that the product page says Encore. I just thought it said core when I first read it.

Based on the use of the name Encore it could suggest a more basic version as it was the case with the Beosound 5 vs Beosound 5 Encore

My question would be why is this a separete box for a product whot this price tag?

I know that the BS9000 is probably packed inside, but when it is restored something might be possible to do. Even piggybacking in an enclosute that matches the back of the BS9000 could be an option

My best guess would be that the BS9000 connect to that by wire and then the Beoconenct core transmit wireless to the speakers?

One more observation. The ability to chose to subscribe to a thread also seems to be missing. This was also an issue in the beginning of the year before Beoworld was transfered to Multicare, but was fixed by Keith at that time.
