I’ve tried using ipad pro via usb-c to theatre but it didnt work
You’ll have to buy an adaptor from B&O, a standard USB- adaptor doesn’t work.
You’ll have to turn the volume up very high on your ipad.

You’re welcome 🙂

I also have BL17 as rear speakers and I would like them to be updated. What did Jakob from B&o support do. exactly that update BL17?
Jacob did send a request in the B&O app, for me to accept remote control of my Beosound Theatre. Then he just updated the software on my BL17’s 🙂

I had a problem with my 2 rear Beolab 17 connected via WISA not always turning green at startup.
I wrote for help in a danish forum on facebook how to update the software with a Beolab Transmitter 1. Suddenly Jacob from B&O support wrote, that if the BL17 was connected to a Beosound Theatre, he could update the SW remotely. After the update there’s no problems with the connection.

Yes you can set it up and use with a BR1 – I just did ?
Which model are you refering to?
I have no icon for “Screen Off” in the option menu on my LG G2. I’m only able to find an option to turn screen off deep down in the oled maintenaince menu@Millemis
You can have the same outcome with only 3 keystrokes on the BR1 as splud wrote in post #20605 ?
Thanks Mark ?
I didn’t know I was able to scroll Down.
I Found Screen Off and it works very well ?

I’ve tried that already. No Screen Off icon appears, when I try to add a new one ☹️
My LG G2 looks different 🙁
Nice setup btw 😉I would like to have a 7.1.4 surround setup. I do have the folowing speakers: Beolab 18 as front, Beolab 17 as Surround and Beolab 17 as Back.
Why doesn’t roomsense configure the Virtual speakers: Right & Left Elevated Virtual and Right & Left Wide Virtual.
I’m able to add them in the config of my Listening Position, but with no distance or Sound Pressure levels. There is an explanation here: https://www.tonmeister.ca/wordpress/
#91.3 in a series of articles about the technology behind Bang & Olufsenquote from the above link:
‘Finally, it’s worth noting that, in the specific case of the Beosound Theatre, by setting the Speaker Distances and Speaker Levels for the Left and Right Front-firing outputs for your listening position, then you have automatically calibrated the virtual outputs. This is because the Speaker Distances and Speaker Levels are compensations for the ACTUAL outputs of the system, which are the ones producing the signal that simulate the virtual loudspeakers. This is the reason why the four virtual loudspeakers do not have individual Speaker Distances and Speaker Levels. If they did, they would have to be identical to the Left and Right Front-firing outputs’ values.’Now I wanna know, does the manual config of the virtual speakers mess with the TrueImage processing of the signal?

I wonder if anyone have tried a software update of the Beolab 17, to get a better wireless connection?
/frankHi Frank, The A1 doesn’t support an analogue audio input via USB, only the Theatre supports this. The second generation A1 doesn’t have any cabled audio input, only the first generation A1 has this via a 3.5mm minijack socket. Kind regards, Steve.
Thanks Steve, but that’s not what B&O write in their Specs:
CONNECTIVITY
CollapseBluetooth Version
5.1
Inputs and Outputs
USB-C for charging, speakerphone and streamingKinds regards
FrankHi Beoworlders, Sorry for the delay, I am pleased to confirm that the USB audio input adapter for Beosound Theatre is now available – so now you can connect any audio system, Beosound or Beogram to play through your new soundbar! https://soundsheavenly.com/tv-misc/191-usb-c-audio-input-adapter-for-beosound-theatre-ref-6271374.html Kind regards, Steve.
Hi Steve, I’ve tryed to connect my BS 3000 to a BS A1 2. Gen. using a Powerlink to minijack adapter and a jack to USB-C converter. But i can’t get any sound out of the BS A1. If I skip the jack to USB-C and just connect my headphones to the minijack, the music plays in my headphones. Is there a difference in the BS Theater and the A1 USB-C connections?
Kind regards, Frank
Hi Frank, Beosound 3000 doesn’t need the speaker sense adapter, this is just needed for Beosound 9000 and Beocenter 2, as these units revert to option 0 (no remote control reception) when Beolab speakers aren’t connected. Kind regards, Steve.
If I connect my BS 3000 to the BS Theatre the way you described, with the powerlink adapter, and I want to play a cd. Is there an easy way to use the Beoremote One to start the cd on BS 3000 and activate the BS Theatre with just one keypress on the remote?
/frank
Hi Steve,
I look forward to hear the result of your test of the Theatre. I did attend a promotion of the Theatre in Copenhagen last thursday. Big mistake – I’ll have to talk with my bank next week ?
What a Sound! ?
Kind regards

Hi Steve,
Do I need a Speaker Sense Adapter for a Beosound 3000, if I connect the BS 3000 with the powerlink connector to Beosound Theatre?
