I am sorry that I missed the draw…. I had a pre christmas dinner with family members (cousins, nieces, etc..)

When the glass panels on my BC9500 came loose afew years ago, I used a black coloured glue to reattach the parts to the panel. It was glue suitable for glass surface, but I don’t remember where I got it.
The process of removing the residues of the old tape from the plastic frame parts was a bit of pain in the **** but worth the effort. Just be very very very carefull when cleaning the backside of the glass panel as the black coating/paint used comes off very easy when you touch is with anything harder than a feather or cotton wool and the circuits parts for the touch areas should not be touched in any way.As for belts for any kind of B&O equipment, I would always recommend “Beoparts” and you can find the belts for the BC9300 in the shop: Link to Beoparts Shop

I will also take this as an occasion to thank Lee, Keith and all others on the Beoworld Team for all the heart, energy and effort they invest to keep this site up running. As someone who is a bit of a numpty with IT-stuff, I have no idea with of all that comes with running a site like Beoworld, but it surely it a lot and also costly.
Yes, I do always hope to win at a draw (who wouldn’t?) an I won’t deny that I was very happy when I won something and I do enjoy my prizes…. but like many others the prize draw and the chance of winning was always a nice extra to the main motivation of supporting the site with the membership fee and would continue my support even if there was no prize draw.
I would go for the Bi-annual draw option and personally I would also have no problem with an slight raise of the membership prize (like 35 or 40 GBP).
Regarding doubleola’s suggestion of allowing to donate more tha the gold fee: This possibility already exits via the “Donation to Beoworld” item in the sites Gift Shop, but this option is a bit hidden. Maybe a “make a donation” button that links to this item might make this a bit more visible for members who want to use this option…. just a thought.
Whatever descision is made I will keep up my support and I hope that Beoworld community will last.

Zum Beolit 20 kann ich nichts sagen, nur zum Beoplay A1 den ich im Büro verwendet habe (hauptsächlich für Videokonferenzen) bis die IT-Abteilung alle mit einem Jabra Gerät versorgt hat und damit die privaten Geräte nicht mehr gern gesehen waren. Der A1 war für diese Zwecke mehr als ausreichend und für gelegentliches Musikhören nebenbei hat der A1 gute Dienste geleistet.
Ohne Dein Anforderungsprofil zu kennen, ist es schwer eine Empfehlung abzugeben… für Hintergrundmusik oder irgendwelche Youtube Videos wäre ein Beolit 20 meiner Meinung nach locker ausreichend, für spezielle Soundeffekte, Filme/Streaming oder auch Spiele könnte der etwas unterdimensioniert sein.

A little detail that I remember from when I had a BS3000 MkI (with the small clamper). At the time the MkII version with the large Clamper was already available:
My MkI was a very early one (bought it preowned from a dealer at the time) and I had the software upgraded to make it N.Radio ready. If I remember correctly SW 1.34a was the newest one available for MkI at the time. The service Center in Vienna gave me the information that the MkII sofware EPROM (with a higher version number) was incompatible with the MkI Bs3000.
Other than the large Clamper and the grey front, there were some internal difference between MkI and MkII. For example MkII had PIN-Protection (the MkI not).So if in the OP-case the MkI works again with the old SW chip, it might show that there are indeed some compatibility problems between MkI unit and MkII sofware.
Just a thought…

Wenn mein Wissen zu Linksystemen mich nicht ganz im Stich lässt, müssen für Dein Vorhaben verschiedene Linkgenerationen miteinander verbunden werden und dies ist nicht ganz so einfach zu erreichen wie es auf der ersten Blick aussieht. Es ist sinnvoll da ein wenig Hintergrundinfons einfließen zu lassen:
B&O hat ein eigenes System/Protokoll um den Datenaustausch zwischen den im Linksystem verbundenen Geräten zu ermöglichen. In der Zeit zwischen Beosystem 2300 und Beovision 11 gab es drei verschiedene Systeme/Protokolle und auch sogenannte “Converter” um eine Kompatibilität über die Generationen zu ermöglichen.
Das Beosystem 2300 stammt aus der Zeit des Master Control Link “MCL”. Die Verbindung zwischen den Geräten erfolgte (vereinfacht gesagt) über ein sogenanntes “Datalink” Kabel, das die gleichen Stecker wie ein Powerlink Kabel hat. Soweit mir erinnerlich, gab es unterschiede zwischen Powerlink und Datalink Kabeln, aber ich weiß nicht mehr auswendig ob es die Belegung oder in die Abschirmung (oder beides) betraf.
Die nächste Generation ist MasterLink “ML”. Die Verbindung zwischen den Geräten erfolgte über die ML-Anschlüsse mit den entsprechenden Masterlink Kabeln. Um MCL Geräte mit ML Geräten zu verbinden gab Converter wie die Type 1611, die Quasi als “Übersetzer” zwischen den Geräten eingesetzt wurden.
Masterlink (ML) wurde durch Netlink “NL” abgelöst und auch hier gab es einen ML/NL-Converter um eine Verbindung zu ermöglichen. Der BV11 gehört zu den NL-Geräten.
Auf Deine Situation umgelegt, bedeutet es ein MCL-Gerät mit einem NL-Gerät zu verbinden, also Quasi die Großeltern- bzw. Enkelgeneration auf einen gemeinsamen Nenner zu bringen…. nicht ganz so einfach.
Ein direkter Converter zwischen MCL und NL ist mir nicht bekannt, daher wäre es, soweit mein Wissen reicht, nötig über zwei Converter den Weg “MCL -> ML -> NL” zu gehen. Ein MCL/NL Converter (z.B.1611) sollte zu einem günstigen Preis nicht allzu schwer zu finden sein, beim ML/NL Converter sieht es da schon schwieriger aus, die sind eher selten und meist auch nicht ganz günstig.
Die Converter sind auch physisch nicht klein (besonders der ML/NL), brauchen eigene Stromversorgung. Das Thema Kabel lasse ich einmal außen vor, denn die sind meist nicht das Problem.Wie so ein System am besten aufgebaut wird (Reihenfolge beim Anschließen, welche Optionen programmiert werden müssen, etc.) ist ein Thema wenn Du Dich entschließen solltest diesen Weg zu gehen.
Soweit ein Input von mir…. wohl leider nicht die einfache Lösung die Du Dir erhofft hast.
