It’s been a few months. I brought it in to an electronics shop that has worked on B and O stuff before. After a few weeks, they couldn’t figure out the problem. I have Beogram 5500 as well that I screwed up trying to fix the string that broke. After fixing it, the tone arm assembly fell apart. This. is out of my wheelhouse. I’m in NYC. Does anyone know of any repair people in the area?
The picture is sideways. Here is a better one
so I took the platter off and the string is just hanging out. Attached to a small spring which isn’t attached to anything. Do I need to remove the whole top of the unit or can I do this with the platter off? I’m not seeing where this attaches?
Thanks! Going to open it up
Would that explain why I’m not getting any signal even when I bring the arm over manually and drop the tone arm?
