Hi Everyone
Many, many years ago my dad and I went to neighbours house to help ‘fix’ their B&O sound system. fast-forward to 2024 and I am looking for the same system as it’s never really left my memory and I would like help to identify it:
It was an old system, likely 1970’s – it was fitted (I think) within a cabinet, certainly the system was very cohesive. There was a turntable. I can’t remember now if there was a CD player or cassette player even. The remote was heavy and very solid in-hand.
The stand out feature was the dark (smokey?) glass cabinet and the red/orange LED lighting.
I absolutely loved it and would really appreciate any help in identifying said components / machine.
Thanks in advance

7 March 2024 at 07:57 #53233Just read your post again, and can see that I did not get the turntable in the cabinet in my first reading.
It could be a Beocenter 7700 wich also fits the description of the remote
https://www.beoworld.ouronlineserver.com/prod_details.asp?pid=4077 March 2024 at 10:44 #53234They are not 1970s – but then again, there weren’t that many LEDs in 1970s B&O.

Here is a nice website that has pictures and dates for B&O equipment. This page may be the best one to start on: https://beocentral.com/receivers
Once you have identified the product, https://www.beoworld.ouronlineserver.com/products.asp can be used to find more detailed information about it.

9 March 2024 at 09:51 #53235Thank you everyone. I am sure it was 70’s – also pretty sure it was red/orange lights – wouldn’t have been LED’s then but used that as an example. I just remember how sophisticated it looked and felt.
