I’m usually pretty good at finding this stuff, but for some reason haven’t.
My TX2 carriage stopped advancing a few years ago, Martin said it may be the bulb or photosensor and I finally got round to ordering them from his Beoparts.
My neighbor has a better soldering setup (and experience) and is going to do it, but I can’t find where these components are. I know they’re both somewhere on the carriage, I have the service manual and sent it to my neighbor, but I’m getting the sense he doesn’t want to wade through it and I don’t blame him on a favor.
Could someone please, if they have one, post a photo of their locations. When it was working, I never thought to investigate the light source (I could do this on my Mitsubishi LT-22 because it has 3 bulbs, only one was dead). There’s a bit on top of the white plastic on the carriage that _looks_ like the photosensor I received (next to the spring– is that actually it?), the bulb I don’t see anywhere. Is there a trick to getting access without damaging something?
Any help would be much appreciated, I’d guess there are others with the same dumb question who are afraid to ask and this would provide a handy, searchable topic for them as well. Thanks

You have to drop the tonearm support, then the little tan pcb where both the sensor and bulb are mounted slides out of its little slot, I just wedged it gently with a flat head eyeglass screw.
