Hi, I have managed to find out the differences between the metal square tubular speaker stands used for the s45-2 and mc120.2 etc and am wondering if anyone can tell me if it is ok to use the stands designed for the s45-2 for the mc120.2 speakers please?….the stands vary in height , 44cm against 51cm….the rest of the sizes look the same…I dont mind the stands being 7cm lower than the ones I already have but wondering if there is anything I am unaware of which would rule them out? This is really a step along question from the one I posted the other day….many thanks in advance for any help and assistance……

Apparently, the height matters to some extent – or Bang & Olufsen wouldn’t have made different stands.
Your speakers will play regardless – of course – though it may not be at the most ideal height, which is usually centered vertically around the height of your ears when listening (usually in a sitting position).

Also, – the S45-2 stands came in two versions; One has the vertical part assembled with a screw from below to the base part, the other is permanently welded.
I think the version with screw wouldn’t be strong enough for MC120.2 to be safe.

Hi and thankyou again for your advice….thought there would be a good reason why maybe to wait for proper intended stands for my other pair of 120s ….have a pair of 45-2`s about without stands so might see how theings go with them….always appreciate the advice, many thanks…..Tony…
