Hello
I have 2 Beolab penta towers.
When the volume goes too high 1 tower shuts off.
I have to unplug the tower and plug it back in to get it working again.
I have read that this can be caused by a too low resistance. Is anyone familiar with this problem and can help me fix this problem?
The faulty tower has a different and older power chord than the working one. Maybe this is related to the problem.
Thank you in advance.

You may have answered your own question – are you putting too much power through the Pentas?
What are the Pentas connected to? What are you using to drive them?

It’s the adjustment of the “no load current” potentiometer … or the poti itself is defect… overheating the amp. Touch the metal of the amp, it becomes pretty hot with this defect.
