There appears to be a multitude of holes in the VESA mounting plate to use. Once you select the holes and fasten, the cardboard template shows the precise location the base of the TV must be in relation to the VESA bracket.
This leaves an overlap of 9.5mm between the two and the exact clearance for the TV not to contact the Theatre when all are combined together. There are then indications of some spacing keys to enable you to fined-tune the separation.
That is how I interpret the video
1 October 2022 at 11:09 #37403I am now going to have a similar setup like Severed hand… After ordering my Theater I had to take both of my Beolab 14 subwoofers in for repair for different problems. I received a less than optimistic prognosis for their repair which got me to rethink my layout. After some careful consideration, I decided to buy a pair of Beolab 18’s, and then talked into a Beolab 19. I already have a pair of Beolab 17’s that I will use for the rears. Along with the Theater, I think this will give me a completely different sound environment than I have now. I was wondering how to use the Theater since I will have the 18’s up front and fairly near the Theater. Hearing that there is a LWide and a RWide channel available could prove really interesting! I will have a lot of experimenting to do.
2 October 2022 at 05:39 #37404I wonder is since I have a small room it makes sense to tell both the BL18 and the side firing speakers to be the front L&R. Or maybe that will just muddy the sound. I think it’s going to take a lot of experimenting to see how it bounces off the walls.
I look forward to the up firing ones to see how well they work as virtual highs.
Since the BL18’s will be about 1M from the edge of the TV does anyone have any suggestions as to the best use of the theatre speakers would be?
2 October 2022 at 10:41 #37405This is an interesting question. Im going to have a look soon at a Theatre to see if it is worth it. I dont like the stand options and I am still “burnt” from the uselessness of the Eclipse
- Specialised LG Panel which no longer available
- The LG Interface and operating parameters rather than pure B&O which could be more of the same.
- The Soundbar of the Eclipse cannot keep up with the BL90s. Better to mute the Soundbar and use BL90 phantom. Works much much better. Will Theatre keep up?
The marketing seems to suggest yes and seems to indicate it has a DSP which can maximise desirable sound dispersion. The question would have more to do with distance/direction and quality of the front loudspeaker vs the Theatre. I think a pair of BL90’s as fronts and 1.5-2m apart from either side of the Theatre should (according to marketing) interact better than say Bl4000/BL17/BL3, 0.5m apart from a Theatre.
2 October 2022 at 12:19 #37406B&O was at Cedia 2022 with the BS Theatre.
Lousy sound quality in the video, but informative.

3 October 2022 at 01:27 #37408It’s funny that there (with one or two exceptions) was no mentioning of a required ethernet connection between tv and soundcenter, as we know it from the previous LG-based Beovisions in the new install videos. Or was what we saw not LG-tv’s, but another brand, just a generic tv? We still need to know how the unit (including the LG-tv functions) is controlled with a Beoremote One. MM
I visited the demo 2 or 3 weeks ago and asked about this.
The LG still have to install a B&O app. But it is a downgraded version of the LG app when you compare it the Harmony’s sound center version.
The app in the LG store is needed to get the remote 1 working.3 October 2022 at 03:34 #37409My god the Halo was updated for compatibility with the theatre but it can only control music functions. I wonder if volume control while watching TV is even an option.
3 October 2022 at 03:53 #37410If not, then it will be just a matter of time, I guess.
You can control the Harmony with its soundcenter with the Halo.3 October 2022 at 07:46 #37411It’s funny that there (with one or two exceptions) was no mentioning of a required ethernet connection between tv and soundcenter, as we know it from the previous LG-based Beovisions in the new install videos. That is true.
There is (at least as of now) nothing you can do there but have a link to the app store for the Bang & Olufsen app in order to get all parts connected.
I suppose once you have programmed all (Speaker Groups, listening positions, stand positions, preferred apps of the tv in the remote, integration with other Beolink products in the house, PUC programming, the MyButtons etc), you won’t need the app on the mobile device much…..that is if you choose the combination with the LG-tv.
Some may be ok using the mobile app and the original remote of a different tv – personally I would not want to, but it is doable.

3 October 2022 at 08:28 #37412Hi Beoworlders,
This video explains how to make sure you hear Beosound Theatre at its best, so you can hear what it is really capable of when you have an in-store or at-home demo…
I hope you find it helpful.
Kind regards, Steve.
3 October 2022 at 11:56 #37407The Beosound Theatre user guide is now available on the B&O site.
4 October 2022 at 03:50 #37413There have recently been more entries added to the FAQ. There is now an explanation about setting up and using the PUC. I had wondered how we would access some functions in the Menu with the menu overlay being gone since the video is now passthrough. According to the FAQ, pressing LIST on the Beoremote One will show those functions that would have otherwise been in the menu overlay.
4 October 2022 at 03:57 #37414My dealer is telling my the 65″ version with the motorized stand is due in Nov. Gonna be a long wait 😀
My G2 is arriving today though and gonna sit in the box for a while 🙁
4 October 2022 at 04:11 #37415That’s the same as with the Eclipse and Harmony.
The Beoremote One BT act as an 2 way remote. Options are send into the BR1BT.
Under listing of TV/Music you will get the different sources. And under List you’ll get the different options/settings.4 October 2022 at 04:32 #37416That’s the same as with the Eclipse and Harmony. My biggest concern is that we get all of that 2-way functionality with the Beoremote One paired with the Theatre without an LG screen.
5 October 2022 at 04:42 #37417Hi Beoworlders,
Sorry for the delay, I am pleased to confirm that the USB audio input adapter for Beosound Theatre is now available – so now you can connect any audio system, Beosound or Beogram to play through your new soundbar!
Kind regards, Steve.

Hi Steve, I’ve tryed to connect my BS 3000 to a BS A1 2. Gen. using a Powerlink to minijack adapter and a jack to USB-C converter. But i can’t get any sound out of the BS A1. If I skip the jack to USB-C and just connect my headphones to the minijack, the music plays in my headphones. Is there a difference in the BS Theater and the A1 USB-C connections?
Kind regards, Frank
6 October 2022 at 01:36 #37422The one thing I am not understanding is the ports to plug in your speakers. There are 4 ports but they are stereo inputs making it 8?
How will that work if I have 2 BL18’s and 2 BL3000 and a subwoofer to plug in? Do the fronts and rears each daisy chain together and then I plug in one cable for the pair?
6 October 2022 at 01:43 #37423Hi,
Powerlink sockets are always stereo, ie both left and right audio signals are present inside each socket. This means that four pairs of speakers (ie. 8 speakers in total) can be cabled to the Theatre via the four sockets.
Kind regards, Steve
6 October 2022 at 02:10 #37424Thanks Steve. So currently I have separate cables running to each speaker but it sounds like I need to combine them into pairs if I want to also plug in a sub correct?
