During Room Sense, Theatre + BL6000 as rear/sides, I assume you can hear both channel during the initial connectivity test?
Also, put the BL6000 in “free” setting with the switch hidden in the base.
Also, check the measured distances of the BL6000 calculated by Room Sense from your listening position. If that is also correct, then Room Sense and attenuation levels will be as intended
19 December 2022 at 09:38 #37844During Room Sense I hear the BL6000 loud and clear.
They are in “free” setting.
The distances are correct but they are very quiet compared to the Theatre itself and on lower volumes I hardly hear them at all. But maybe that is correct.
19 December 2022 at 10:27 #37845To my knowledge there are no ‘position’ settings on the 6000.
https://bangolufsenassistentgohe.blob.core.windows.net/manuals/SPEAKERS/BEOLAB_6000/beolab6000_userguide_english.pdfHowever, on the 6002 there are.
Any Beolab with these setting options should always be set to ‘Free’.
This is how they were measured for the Theatre.MM
19 December 2022 at 10:39 #37846yikes! wired all the way, but that is fairly cramped! Did you do it yourself?
=====
Sure, but haven’t finished it yet.
The fun part (of making Listening Positions) will have to wait untill tomorrow.
Also I am looking for a way to get rid of the WebOS logo at startup.I do wired whenever I can, but it seems that the Theatre was not quite designed for wire guys.
Guess what…….I left the back cover off – no way to make that fit ☹️
Since the unit is placed right up against a wall, I don’t see it anyway.MM

using your LG remote, hit the mute button at least 3 times in quick succession.
this brings up a dialogue box. At the bottom, there is 3 activated sliders. No.2 is the logo kill slider
19 December 2022 at 12:25 #37832Anyone in the US using a Dish Hoper with a Theatre? Wondering if the puc works well with it.
20 December 2022 at 01:58 #37850After checking and seeing that there was not an update to the public B&O app, I emailed Beocare asking to get the latest beta version of the B&O app. As soon as I sent the email, I saw that a new public version had become available. lol
With the new B&O app update, adding Receiver 1 speakers did not crash the app. If I tried to include the Receiver 1 speakers for Room Sense, Room Sense would give me a message that it failed. However, if I run Room Sense without the Receiver 1 speakers, I can save the listening position and add the Receiver 1 speakers later using “Advanced.”
Also, note that we can now assign the “Center” role to the Theatre’s Front and Left Front-Firing speakers. I’m interested to compare the difference with these added speakers.
20 December 2022 at 02:24 #37851I can already notice a huge difference adding a BL2 and two BL4000 speakers for front height to my existing setup of BL9 for front, BL1 for surround, BL9 for back and BL4000 for surround height.
How perfect that this coincides with today’s release of “House of the Dragon” on UHD. I’m eager to try out the scene with two dragons chasing and battling each other.
20 December 2022 at 02:29 #37852Do you think the benefit is more from the 4000s or the 2? I have 28s as fronts, 1s as rears, and have a 19 on it’s way to try.
20 December 2022 at 02:30 #37853Purchased some 18s as a rear set of speakers to go with my theatre. Happy Christmas to me
I will be interested to hear your thoughts. I almost bought a pair of 18s for rears.

I think both for different reasons. Previously, I had been using the Theatre’s upward-firing speakers for the front height. However, that wasn’t well suited to my loft condo with very high ceilings. The 4000s provide better L&R Front Height roles.
The BL2 just adds some crazy extra bass. Maybe too much except for when I want to be immersed in action movies. Otherwise, the 4 BL9 speakers still provide great bass. I know that the Receiver 1 limits the very lowest bass of the BL2 a little, but I think that might actually be for the best in keeping peace with my neighbors!
My first reaction to adding the L&R Front-Firing Theatre speakers to the Center role is that I don’t need to increase the volume level as much. I’m interested in hearing every one else’s comparison as to whether to add the L&R Front Firing speakers to the Center role.
20 December 2022 at 03:09 #37855Have you ever added a BL2 to your BL1 speakers? It seems that most people find that the BL2 adds that extra bass that the BL1 lacks to really round out the BL1. That’s why I’m thinking that any subwoofer in the back of your setup might really add to your BL1 speakers that you like in the back. If nothing else, you can physically feel the presence during those action scenes.

another question….I do not have a place where I could put large rear speakers. I am using my 1s as the left and right surround in 5.1. I have thought of using my 9s instead for increased bass, but like the height of the sound from the 1s. Any opinion on 9s V 1s in a 5.1 setting?
20 December 2022 at 03:51 #37857my Theatres are being installed in 3 weeks time, both wall mounted.
The installers have a lot of wiring going into the back of my living room theatre – lord knows how they’ll make the whole thing perfectly flush to the wall!
Gaps will not be tolerated!
Congrats by the way, and enjoy.
20 December 2022 at 04:05 #37858A big difference in the LG C2 and G2 is the approach of wall-mounting.
The G2 is meant to be completely flush with the wall like a painting. The big disadvantage that I saw with this is cable access. In order to obtain that completely flush wall mounting, you need a static mount like the one that ships with the G2. Any mount that provides for movement for cable access will not be totally flush. Any time you would need to access the cables, you would need to remove the G2 from the wall.
The C2, however, is intended to appear floating in front of the wall. There is no issue with access to cables and the result for both the C2 and the Theatre is truly stunning. They appear to float.
20 December 2022 at 04:44 #37859I have a G2 and used the included flush mount wall bracket. It does allow it to be pulled out from the wall a few inches. In fact, that is how it is installed. The wall bracket is to be in the extended position when the G2 is attached to it. Once the G2 is mounted, it is then pushed flush against the wall and the bracket fold in to the recess on the back of the G2.

Many years ago when the 1s were fronts, I had a Velodyne subwoofer connected. At the time that is what B and O dealers were selling as there was no B and O subwoofer. I don’t really remember much about how it impacted the sound.
Part of me wants to put the 19 in the rear for exactly the reason you mention. But I also want it for music with my 28s, for deep bass that can be present in organ music. For that purpose I feel like it should be in the front.

Ah. The salesperson at Best Buy must not have understood. He advised that the bracket that came with the G2 was strictly fixed.
I actually pulled my C2 forward a little so that it’s totally centered with the depth of the Theatre. I think it looks great floating like that.
20 December 2022 at 06:13 #37862Indeed, the G2 wall mount does pull out just about enough to access any cables.
It’s more the Theatre, which I’m having wall mounted separately, that I need to be flush against the wall. In this situation, and all the cabling I have going into it, it will be slightly challenging to the installers. But I’ll be surprised if they dont get it right.
My dealer has one wall mounted, and looking at his install, they used 2 narrow cable socks feeding into the Theatre, and each with about 3 or 4 cables. And their install is clean and flush against the wall. I have a tad more cable traffic in / out of the back of my upcoming install, so we’ll see. But I’m assured it will be fine, and they need to get it right.

I thought about doing exactly what you did as I thought it would look great.
