The launch of a new sound bar? Pretty sure it is. It must be the beosound theatre.
Save the date.

24 August 2022 at 04:23 #37243It seems to be an invitation to a physical event (for those going to/living in Berlin).
Wonder if there will be some kind of online presentation too?

The long awaited Beosound Theatre is here! This video explains why all existing B&O TV owners need to hear it…
Kind regards, Steve.
31 August 2022 at 02:30 #37251Everyone happy now?
Expensive, but its fully specc’ed as anyone could possibly hope for.
They look to have ticked the important boxes – design (I like) and spec’s (I like).
31 August 2022 at 03:09 #37252The bass management in this (lets call it) Beosystem has changed a bit…..the bass is not simply redirected to the most appropriate speaker, but is more spread to all / most / more speakers than the previous bass management system would do.
Not a great explanation I know, but just something to be aware of.

Oh wow, expensive is an understatement. It’s 5x the price I paid for my Stage (£1100)!
I guess it’s the product we were waiting for, but at £5K, sadly I’ll be skipping it and will keep the Stage. I’d want the oak version which is over £6K ?
31 August 2022 at 03:46 #37254Indeed – 5400/6400 (wood) is a lot, but around the same price as the existing Eclipse sound centre, so should have been expected. They couldn’t just slide in the extra surround processing board and extra connections into the Stage form factor…that was never going to work either.
I think about it like this – 5400/6400 GBP will get you something flexible (the attachable wings mean various TV sizes can be used with it), and something that will e good for 10-15 years….over that time many will go through 2 BVs…..and the Theatre price plus 2 (during that 10-15 yr period) panels will be less than the price of 2 BVs.
Its also a beast power wise, with all sorts of connectivity.
Deposit about to go down.
31 August 2022 at 03:55 #37255The fact that this has 8x old Powerlink connectors absolutely blows my mind.
31 August 2022 at 04:02 #37256Hefty price for sure, but its the beovision for the future with all the connectivity one would expect.
Happy to see that it is available with a motorized wall bracket.
So it will be a bit under 100K SEK for a complete 55″ Beovision experience with the possibility to swap screen when panel technology evolve. Not too bad,31 August 2022 at 04:04 #37257I’m told that the wings to extend / widen the Theatre to 65 / 77 inch also come with in the box for the one price…i.e you dont have to pay extra for those.
Dont take that as gospel, but I think that is the case – which if true, is fantastic.
31 August 2022 at 04:08 #37258Looking to the pictures of B&O’s website, I am rather mixed on the floor-stand.
Too imposing for my taste, it seems less airy and sophisticated than the Eclipse’s one.
While Eclipse floats in the air, Theater seems to be painfully extricating itself from the soil.
I agree, that’s a purely personal and subjective feeling which needs to be confronted to the in-the flesh product.
At last and if I read the specifications correctly, it can only control 2 products via the PUCs. It’s unfortunately too short for my current needs.

31 August 2022 at 04:31 #37260Very clever and good looking microphone included in the package 🙂
31 August 2022 at 04:50 #37261just saw that – nice touch
31 August 2022 at 05:07 #37262Is there an aux input to connect old soundsystem like beocenter 9300 or beosound 3000…?
