With a TV as an Integration “master” you can only have one audio product integrated with sharing speakers but have the option of a second “connected” audio product.
I wanted to get a little clarity on the purpose of a second connected audio product.
What features does this provide for the second audio product that would be different than say a “normal” audio product on the network?
Or do audio products not “advertise” sources unless “Connected”?
31 January 2024 at 03:00 #52413OK, I figured out what must of been a silly question for most of you.
I’ve just switched from a MasterLink-centric network with a few NL products (with converters) to an NL network with a few converted ML products (with converters) and was still thinking through the MasterLink paradigm lens.
I guess I had always thought of the connected products having to deal primarily with integration ( audio-master & video-master) but after setting everything up it’s clear that’s just how you make products visible to each other on the network.
Any integration option is a secondary feature within that.
It’s been a few years.
A lot to catch up on:)
