Dear members,
Recently I became the owner of a great Beosound 5 Encore which is wired conected to internet and to my NAS, Synology 716-II Plus. All my music files (mp3 and flac) are on my NAS in different folders for every artist (some multiple albums too) with the album cover included. All of those album covers are displayed correctly while playing the music. Even when I select an artist with multiple albums, every time the BS5E selects a different music file from another album the correct album cover is displayed. So far so good.
Besides that I have made a different folder on my NAS in which I have copied all of my digital music files as a copy of my analog recorded tapes (12 ea in total in 12 folders). Using MP3TAG I have added the album cover to each music file.
What I want to achieve is when I select 1 of the 12 folders to play back, that de corresponding album cover will be displayed.
I think I have tried everything with MP3TAG on my Apple Mac Book Pro but just the first displayed album cover is not refreshed when the next musix file is played. Maybe what I want to achieve is not possible but maybe you out there had a solution to make it work (or nbot).
I hope I explained it properly for you.
Thanks in advance.17 June 2024 at 17:04 #56551Hello Peter, welcome to the forum, nice BeoSound!
Is the folder system logic the same as for your other music files? You write ‘I have made a different folder on my NAS’ for the tape-based music. Why is that? Can’t you just use the same folder for all music and (maybe to distinguish) write ‘[tape]’ behind the album name?
Not sure if this helps, maybe add a screenshot of the folder build up?
Regards, Johan
