Hi BeoWorld Community
Inspired by Steve’s video (Bang Olufsen vintage music streaming – I built a FREE music server for my classic B&O music system), I started to read about Room EQ Wizard and DSP crossovers.
I consider to build my own subwoofer(s) because the Beolab 2 might be too much, and the BeoLab 11 to decent for the living room. They will be hidden in the shelf, so optics does not matter that much.
Will research about proper chassis, but the volume is rather limited with 30l per box. So I might go for a sealed subwoofer.
Class D Amplifier from ICEpower:
https://icepoweraudio.com/buy/as-series/200as2/26 February 2023 at 04:31 #43628I run a bit similar setup, the MiniDSP 2×4 balanced with an ICEpower 700AS2 and 2x Seas L26ROY 10″ in sealed boxes. It works nicely, but it’s sucks to have to calibrate twice. My mains are Genelec DSP speakers, so I first calibrate those and then everything via REW. Considering getting rid of it and getting one (or two) Genelec DSP subwoofer(s) instead.
Have you already sourced the icepowers? I don’t think they sell directly to consumers. Please note that the connectors are very hard to find separately, so might make sense to buy a complete set for easy of use. Or one easy option would be the minidsp pwr-ice250 + backbox.
