In the “DIY Beolab 8000 Wood frets (STLs included).” several people have been asking for frets for Beolab 6000 and I decided to give it a try.

Attached is the fret needed. 4 is needed for each speaker and they will fit nicely in the grooves for the normal cover.

The grooves are for 5mm wood, and there are 10 grooves i.e. 10 length of wood is needed plus two on the sides for each speaker.

The attached file has to be renamed to stl – it is not a pdf.

See below the fret mounted on the BL6000

        • I found that the fret when mounting at the Tweeter covers it partially. So I made a replacement fret for this one. See below before and after. Attached is the new fret in stl format. After downloading please remove the pdf in the end.

As I don’t have a beosound stage available for measuring I do not know what to construct.

              Hi Claus

Is it possible for you to make clamps for beosound Stage?

                Hi cgh

Do you have the dimensions for the wood pieces needed for the project?

Length, width, thickness. For both middle and end piecees?

I am enjoying these initiatives to share .stl files for Beolab 6000 and 8000 upgrades. Thanks so much!

                  Some questions from my side:

                  • Does anybody have a finished pair, to see how this turns out with these clamps?
                  • Would you have an opportunity to create a 4mm wood option as well? Then they fit nicely with the Beolab 8000 variant that has 4mm frets.
                  • I came across a very nice version with 16 4mm frets and a tightly fitted clamp on the top. See the attached picture. Love how tight that fits. Would that give a nice option for the 6000?
                  • I have seen a wooden grill on a pair of Beolab 4000. Does anybody have the opportunity to create those as well?

                  Looking forward to your thoughts…

                    Dag,

I made something better I think.

                    Mayby not perfect.

Before I found this item I ordered some at Markplaats.nl for €50,00. See the picture below what he sent to me. Not so good. He said I have to use only 4 for 2 Beolab 6000-speakers. After complaining about it the answer was that the wil be good enough to use.

The original stl-files ditn’t work for me printing with a Dremel and Ultimaker original printer. There was a little gap between the things where you put the wooden frets in.

I dit turn it om 180 degrees before printing and printing the tweeter I had to use extra support.

After downloading please remove the pdf in the end.
I am working on the Beolab 2500 frets.

                      Hello,

I’m no expert, but I was able to adjust both of your stl files with Tinkercad after printing. The small ridges where the wooden slats were located were loose because there was a gap between them and fell off or broke off.

See the photo, what the improvement is. On the left it’s your version and on the right it’s mine. What is not yet clear to me is whether 4 mm slats and a glue gun are needed or whether 5 mm slats fit between them.

                      Greetings, Jan

                        Hello,

How many of the tweeters you have top print for 1 speaker? Only 1 tweeter and 3 normal or?

Something is still not good enough.
The two bottem frets don’t fit and I have cut something off whit a sharp knife to make it fit. This maybe something to do with the fact I have mark 1 Beolabs 6000.

So you need for one speaker:

                          • One on the top (STL is good)
                          • One for the tweeter (STL is good)
                          • Two for de bottem, witch I have to adjust. (Current STL using for the top is not yet good enough, but still can be used with a little adjustment)

I will try to adjust this in a new STL-file for the bottom.

                            Hello,

What are the things that have to be changed at the stl file?

                              Hello Bram,

Is it a idea to share your files for Beolab 6000 Mark 2 with us so that we can see what to adjust it for the bottom ones?

                                Hello,

I only have the files for the beolab 6000 that are given in this forum. I dont have files made at my own.

Thank you for this. Mine are mark 1 as well and I will wait for the bottom one. I have a question, is there any chance to match it with 8000 frets, where the 4mm gap is used?

                                    Thank you

                                        Dear cgh,

I cannot locate the stl/pdf file.

Is there any way you could upload them again or indicate where to find them ?

                                        Thank you !
