Hi
This is basically a copy of a posting I also placed in General Discussion but that was before I knew this sub forum existed. So my apology but hope you will read it anyway.—-
I have a B&O Connection Hub that I use to connected my Beolab 7.1 to my non B&O TV and use the TV remote to control volume.
Have been very happy with the product but unfortunately it seems to have – what I believe is a capacitor that have lost it’s value – so the end result is that it constantly turns itself on and off only a few minutes apart. Now when there is a sound signal everything is working fine.
Now the Connection hub shares the circular enclosure also used in the Beosound Core even though the function is completely different.
Now I contacted B&O – even have a family member working for them but they either don’t know anything or will not say anything about opening the unit. They will not repair it.
So, either I find a “new” old one and risk the same will happen shortly after I buy it or I am hoping someone have taken one apart and can share the experience.
Now I can find them for sale locally (Denmark) but most were sold with the S8 sound system and finding them by them self is a but harder but not impossible. Only downside is that the used price is currently twice what I paid for it straight from a B&O dealership in Copenhagen.
So really hope someone can help.
PS – No I cannot use my headphone out as that is controlled via a sub menu on my TV so that would make it useless in day to day use..6 January 2023 at 05:35 #42175This is basically a copy of a posting I also placed in General Discussion but that was before I knew this sub forum existed. I have deleted the other one, otherwise I think many people will see both from the Forum Home page. Hopefully someone will be able to assist.
(And welcome to the Forum!)
