Hey guys hope everyone is well, I’m new to the forum after searching for some clarification on the problem I had and stubbles across this forum,

I look forward to hearing any ideas you guru’s have,

Late uncle had purchased a Beovision 7-40 in 2015 blue ray built in and beo sound speaker on a motorised stand, I’ve used it twice since he past and before he used it very seldom, I went to turn it on on morning and I get the following

      1) there is sound from a cd when placed in the bluray

      2) there is sound when DTV Is selected

      3) the lcd screen that displays channels lights up

      4) the red standby light goes off when I power tv on

      5) the screen remains black

      6) I have tried cables and also making sure the screen was not on mute.

I have asked the local B&O repair centre but I’m afraid they have turned me away because of age and to purchase a new replacement tv from them

If it wasn’t for the sentiment of this tv I would of got rid of it but I can’t bring myself to do such a thing and the partner now sees it as an ornament which I need to look into again to get fixed I have some electronic knowledge but I don’t have kit to test the tv and wondering maybe if it’s a setting I have missed or is there and easy way to check if the screen is in fact dead, thanks to all of you in advance for any response on this is appreciated

Have you tried to play a DVD in the Blueray player?

What kind of sources (like cable-TV) are connected to the tv ?

Can you go into the menu of the BV?
