Hi Beoworlders,
Guess what, I found a Beosound 9000c! Full review to follow soon, in the meantime what do you think to the colours?
Kind regards, Steve.

10 May 2024 at 12:07 #55437Why did they release an ugly bulky stand? The original looks way better. Also, the black of the 9000c looks cheap, like a Sony counterfeit of the original!
10 May 2024 at 20:38 #55452I don’t like that stand at all. That doughnut base is ugly. I much prefer the original brushed aluminium, elegant stand. But it’s great that they have reintroduced this classic CD player.
11 May 2024 at 09:23 #55480I’ll have to see it in the flesh, but as a colour scheme its too monochrome for me.
Guessing they were trying to be faithful to the aesthetic of the late 80s – mid 90s, with lots of black and silver.
But not sure I’d want this colour scheme chez moi.
12 May 2024 at 17:43 #55556I think they are so definitive that they are hard to improve or update.
Bot even nowadays polished aluminium is far more interesting to eyes than black IMHO.
14 May 2024 at 13:05 #55600I will also need to see it in the flesh. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve been a bit sniffy about a new B&O product’s picture, only to completely fall in love with it when I see the real thing!
14 May 2024 at 13:53 #55605I got rid of all my CDs about 15 years ago and I’m not going down that route again!!!
Will stick with my 4000 as my sole vintage player.
16 May 2024 at 20:43 #55679Just in London today, had a look at the BeoSystem 9000c.
Images don’t look as good, much better in person.16 May 2024 at 20:45 #5568017 May 2024 at 11:12 #55692Thank you for the photos. Yes, it looks nicer than in the press pictures and the control via Beoremote, Halo remote and app is very nice.
But
– the cold white led light doesn’t look as good as on the old 9000.
– the stand looks somehow cheap and unfinished compared to the old one (at least at the photos).30 May 2024 at 18:48 #56091Just found this in a local sales add.
In my opinion it looks more stylish and would fit great with all the other wood lamella products
30 May 2024 at 19:25 #56093I saw the 9000C in London today, at the Mayfair flagship store.
Unsurprisingly it looked excellent in the flesh, hard to fault especially as they were obviously going for an aggressively 80s aesthetic!
What surprised me was how nice the aluminium lamellas looked, especially on the 28s.
Before seeing in the flesh, I would have thought “hmm, too much aluminium”, but they seem to have been honed to a very soft almost silk finish. Really very very nice.
As a reimagining, again its fairly obvious what they were going for, I think its a success style wise.

I like the look of that.

But I do agree with this, the soft finish does look nice.
8 June 2024 at 12:59 #56366Looks nice but €55K nice I’m afraid not. I prefer the aluminium stand I have..
However..wondering if it’s possible to upgrade the original setup (BS9000 + ML/NL converter connected to a
Moment) so the updated app for the 9000C can control the CD selection as it appears to do on the 9000c? Is this what the Besound Encore device does? - AuthorPosts
