Good afternoon! Please tell me if there is an opportunity. I noticed that if the BT one remote control paired with Emerge, located in the kitchen, is moved to another room and then brought back to the kitchen, then it loses pairing with Emerge and I have to reset to factory settings and pair again. Is this normal for the remote control, or did I not finish building something in it so that it does not lose pairing when it moves around the apartment?
3 September 2023 at 06:27 #48573I did a test with mine today. I have a BR1 connected to a pair of BeoSound Emerge. I can move through nearly the whole house and control it. No loss of connection etc.
probably do the whole pairing again. Do a reset of the speaker and upgrade the software. This should not happen.
3 September 2023 at 10:46 #48574Thank you for your attention to my question. As far as I understand, pairing can be established in two ways: via Bluetooth and using the B&O application. The version of my B&O App is 5.2.0.230808 -48327. The last update was from 08.08.2023, but I could not find Beoremote BT One in the application. It only has Beremote Halo. Therefore, I have paired with BS Emerge using Bluetooth. Can this be the reason for the pairing break, if “YES”, then how do I pair through the application if there is no BR 1 in it?
3 September 2023 at 12:01 #48572It should not lose the pairing. It should stay paired no matter where you move it to.
4 September 2023 at 01:20 #48575Bluetooth is the correct and only way to pair the BR1. But, you can pair it by Bluetooth using the app. It will not list the BR1 but rather will give you an option to pair a new remote in the settings menu for the Emerge.
4 September 2023 at 01:53 #48576Thank you, did I understand correctly that when pairing via Bluetooth, as the only correct one, the connection between the remote control and BS Emrerge should remain stable during any movement around the house? And I can control BS Emrerge from anywhere in the house using the BR1 remote? And the second point, I am a beginner, and I would be extremely grateful and grateful to you if you would write the BR1 connection procedure using the B&O App in more detail step by step.
4 September 2023 at 11:35 #48577The pairing should remain wherever you move the BR1 but that does not mean it will still be connected. If you move the BR1 too far away it will not work. However, once you return it to the same room, or general area where it has worked before, the pairing will remain and it will work again. By way of example, I have a pair of Emerges in my office at work. I have a BR1 paired with them. A coworker asked about the BR1. I took it with me to a connected building and a different floor. That was much too far away for it to connect to and control the Emerges. But upon returning the BR1 to my office, the Bluetooth pairing was intact and I could control the Emerges. In my house I have three BR1s. I keep one in each of three different rooms. If I take one to another room, that will get it out of range and it will not control the paired products until I return it to the room, in range. The Halo connects by Wi-Fi so it can control B and O products on the same network regardless of distance.
To pair using the app (iOS in my case): From the Home Screen touch the person icon (that is what it looks like to me) at the top right….then touch settings…then Products….then select your Emerge…..the next step might be slightly different as my Emerges are at work so I am looking at my Theatre, BL28s, and M5 and they are slightly different…once you are on your Emerge’s page….there should be threes dots at the top right….touch those….one of the options will be Beoremote …select that…if your BR1 is already paired it will show it. You can touch on it and will get options for remotes list and unpair. As you are having problems you might want to unpair. Also on the Beoremote page you will see and option to pair a new Beoremote….touch it and then touch the Pair Remote option that will appear. Also, go through the settings on the BR1 to select open for pairing. Settings….Pairing….Pair….open for Pairing.5 September 2023 at 01:38 #48578Many thanks to you for such a detailed answer. Now I will know how to do the right thing.
