Hi,
What cable ?
Did you get the proper one ? Designed for 5v trigger or 12v trigger ? What power supply is triggering ?
Regards
R.
23 December 2023 at 03:07 #51538I have the 5v trigger switch adapter, I asked the seller about the 12v because I saw somewhere else about it but they said this must work.
23 December 2023 at 07:59 #51539I see. I was worried you might feed the speaker relay with 12v. That will damage the speaker. 5v is correct.
When you provide the 5v trigger the LED must turn green an stay green. Also without receiving any audio signal.
Can you share a link to the cable you purchased?
Do you know if it worked in the B&O setup before you brought it home?
23 December 2023 at 08:12 #51540This is the cable I’ve purchased.
Unfortunately it was an older setup in my hotel and couldn’t see any other B&O setup around.
Could it be the switch problem inside the speaker?
Thank you for your help ?
23 December 2023 at 08:27 #51541Hi,
I see the supplied power supply is a universal one which can output from 3v to 12v
There should be a ‘dial’ on the power supply where you select what output you want. Please check it is set to 5v.
3v or 4.5v should work as well.
I use same method for my BeoLab 2. Not exact same cable but same principle. Unfortunately I cannot help troubleshoot the internal circuit of the BL2.

23 December 2023 at 10:19 #51543I forgot to say they didn’t send me the same adapter as on the picture they send a 5v usb switching adapter and ther 8s no dial on it to change the voltage. Its just annoying to spend £50 on this .
But really appreciate the help!
23 December 2023 at 11:10 #51544Well, the cable and the 5V USB adapter / power supply might be perfectly fine. I am powering on my BL2 via an Apple phone charger as well. The problem might be with the speaker itself. I cannot support you trouble shooting the internal circuit of the speaker. Last suggestion from my side…. Try replacing the supplied USB charger with another one you’ve got and see if it changes anything.
23 December 2023 at 12:03 #51536Hey everyone,
Im quite new here so I hope I ask my question in the right place.
So I have saved a Beolab 2 speaker from my workplace and I took it home.It came with the power lead .I plugged it in and the light is red. But because I dont have any other BO system I purchased a power link cable with trigger switch from ebay (AV solutions) to use it as stand alone to my home system.
So my issue is when I plug on my power link cable the light goes green and I can hear the switch as it should be , but, after 3 seconds it turns off.
What can be the issue? Or am I doing something wrong?
Thank you for your help guys.
24 December 2023 at 06:16 #51545Just an update.
Luckily I’ve managed to fix it. I took it apart and the 8nner fuse was the problem on the panel. It was burned. Replaced it amd works perfectly.
Thank you for your help anyway ?
