      Dear Fell0w B & O Enthusiasts,

I am putting an old Beogram 2400 back into service. I have made the mistake of taking off the lid in order to remove the accumulated scratches. After doing that I have been able to restore the lid beautifully. On the down side I am totally unable to figure out how to replace the lid, I have all the parts so I presume it is a fairly simple operation.

If anyone can provide me with a step by step guide or point me in the right direction to where i can find the information to do this i would be very grateful. The service manual although showing a schematic image of the lid/hinge mechanism does not show enough detail for me.

      Thank you Bookworm

Hi Dillen, Thank you so much for your very prompt and informative reply. I will certainly give this a go. I am a bit concerned that I might break something but your easy to follow steps gives me confidence.

          Thanks, Bookworm.

Hi Martin, Just a quick update, I did this yesterday following your instructions to the letter and pleased and relieved to say all went well.

I was really apprehensive as I did not want to break the lid. I must say the long thin spring is REALLY strong when “wound” up. Many thanks again. Ken. (Bookworm)

Good job, and thanks for the feedback!
