I’m a first time poster here. My Beogram 1800 has worked fine up to yesterday. When I hit play it starts turning, the arm moves to the starting position and then the record stops spinning. The arm sits in its position at the start of the record. If I give the platter a slight spin with my finger, it clicks and starts spinning and then works normally. Any advice on what could cause this is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Josh

It slows to a crawl and then either stops or picks up speed and works normally. It seems like the weight of the platter is too much for the motor to turn?
