Hi,
I haven’t got an answer to your question but I posted a very similar problem yesterday regarding my 7007.
Mine will start on 45rpm with both 7″ and 12″ records. I can however change the speed to 33 by pressing the 33 button.
Interestingly though, it goes back to 45 once the end of the record is reached during the auto return of the arm procedure.
If I get a reply before you I’ll let you know!
Cheers,
Colin

1 March 2023 at 09:08 #44240As I responded to Colin, the control of 45 starts with the disc indicator switch. If that is not opening and closing properly you will get this symptom. Only after checking this should you check for the correct voltages around TR1 and 2. There are no likely cap issues in that circuit.
1 March 2023 at 12:19 #44237My parents much loved but ancient Beocenter 7007 has an issue where the turntable doesn’t want to stay on 33 rpm, and constantly jumps to 45 rpm. As the sole trained (but not employed as such since early 2000s) technician in the family, I have an obligation to try and fix it 🙂 Below is a screenshot of the service manual, with what I determined to be the motor control circuit from the 7007. I think this might be something to do with either the TR1 or TR2 transistors, or maybe some dried up capacitors around them perhaps. Is this a known issue to anyone here? Appreciate any and all help!
