First post here! Have recently bought a Beocenter 7000 for my daughter who has developed an interest in vinyl for what I think is a pretty good price!
Record player sounds pretty good actually, but our problem is she can not live without digital, and I seem to be unable to use the external Tape/Aux 5pin input without getting bleed from the FM radio P1 (which to my dual amazement and annoyance has crystal clear reception)
Have looked for a manual, but all the owners’ manual web links seem to be technical!
Can anybody help me get a clean Tap aux input?
Many thanks!
30 August 2023 at 04:06 #48559Hi and welcome to Beoworld!
If the digital source is playing but weak, it is worth checking that your connecting cable is inputting to DIN pins 3 and 5. Sometimes people use a DIN output cable (pins 1 and 4) by mistake.
Otherwise there could be a fault with the Beocenter.
With regard to the manual, I think that the BC7002 operating manual may be similar and easier to find. We do have the 7002 manual on this site for Silver and Gold Members if you can’t find it elsewhere.
30 August 2023 at 04:31 #48560Thanks very much for your reply, Guy, that’s good info! Dad been looking for the pin wiring info and after my searches came up blank I ended up buying a 5 pin male to dual female phonos lead.
Unfortunately the input signal seems strong so unlikely there is a wiring issue.
And also found the 7002 manual now – thanks again! Had been pressing buttons a little haphazardly but that now suggests Tape + P1 to activate Aux; unless anybody knows of a key combination wrinkle on the 7000 I guess the problem must be on the inside? Anybody have any clues? Or even a basic instruction for how to open the thing up? 😮
Again many thanks for any help!

From the Service Manual (avail on this site for Silver/Gold Members) – I will give you this sneak preview for free! A technician would want the full manual which includes the circuit diagrams.
30 August 2023 at 05:48 #48562Thanks so much, very kind!
I actually have the circuit board layout from the non-user manual, mais en Francais! Might as well be Chinese frankly ftho, for all the sense I can make of it 🙂
Will try to have a pole around tomorrow, and in the meantime any tips still gratefully appreciated!
Many thanks!
1 September 2023 at 04:02 #48563Well got the thing open and found it remarkably clean inside dust wise, though there was a somewhat sticky area on the left side looking back to front. Gave it a brush and hoover inside, and everything seems to work flawlessly except for that tiny Tape 2 bleed issue. Sounds pretty good too!
Does the slight sticky gunk covered area give anybody any clues?
1 September 2023 at 05:52 #48564Aha, digging further looks like the gunk is probably lubrication from the hinge for the aluminium lid. That’s not working/dampened quite as it should be, but working good enough for my purposes so don’t want to poke around too much there; likely a red herring
