The ‘Gen…own General Up’ in some cases instead of the volume bar must be something temporary.
I’m not sure. If you tap on the product icon near these commands, it opens a sub-page where you find the volume of possibly linked products.

I only have the ‘Gen…own General Up’ thing with my converters.
Neither has speakers connected, so I can’t test why they are there/what they are supposed to do.That pushing the product icon reveals the multiroom options has been so for quite a while.
On my iPad it looks this way.Of course that looks different due to the different form factor.
For the phone they had no other option than letting it slide up from the buttom.Thinking about it……why not have an icon for all sources (including B&O Radio and NAS-based music) on the right side of the volume bar and let these appear similar to the multiroom options on the left.
Then have the Home button on the top instead of the ‘Sources’ arrow.
This way they could skip the lower bar with the (now) three icons, that you can only reach by closing the ‘Now Playing’ screen. This would mean being able to manage all basic control right from the ‘Now Playing’ screen.

Yes, it works flawless on my QNAP using Twonky server and the built-in Qnap app.
10 November 2023 at 11:06 #49178New version update.
Finally disapppointed, I’ll get back to 5.3:
The app shows sources in NL/ML Converter, but selecting one of them does not fire-on the speakers connected to the converter.
The source is available with the remote control and works fine, but the app shows the core on the now playing screen and no in-app volume control for the converter is possible.

Even recent non-beta versions of the app had trouble “seeing” my DLNA servers. My work-around was to shut my Synology NAS down, move it physically to a port on my main router, and restart both it and the router. It took a really long time to show up in the iPad’s B&O app, but finally it did. (Like, a *really* really long time, many minutes!) Yet thereafter, it worked without without hiccups. No, of course you shouldn’t have to horse around with B&O’s software in any case, but I believe this is not specifically beta-version-related. Worth a try anyway…
12 November 2023 at 10:32 #49182This is definitely not the case with my old beta version.
My local library is on an older Synology NAS and shows up pretty quick in the app, almost instantly.
Same for the new beta.

13 November 2023 at 09:59 #49183Understood. But merely saying, “works for me” or “not beta-specific, happened long before” would not have actually *helped* @Mbee. The issue *does* occur, and seems a networking problem not (directly) B&O’s fault.
14 November 2023 at 08:34 #49184New beta out. Haven’t noticed anything new. Sources still broken.
14 November 2023 at 11:06 #49185Same here.
Sources incomplete.

15 November 2023 at 07:58 #49186Updated to version 5.5.1.23111057914 (not beta) yesterday, and now I can use all my BLC sources again on A6 and Cores.
15 November 2023 at 09:54 #49187Yes that is progress.
But there is still a long way to go before we are able to do, what we could in the previous (regular) version.
Why shouldn’t we be able to access the internal sources (such as B&O Radio……) from Source List?
Would be nice to know if that is coming (again) in time….
……or if these will be left out for good in the future app versions! But it is nice to be able to start e.g. CD from there – something (by the way) that we still miss on the BST.

You’re never going to see B&O Radio, Music an Deezer again in that list, no matter how long you wait or pray ?
They’ve made it clear they are going to include in the sources list only linked external sources, such as aux-in, optical in, or BLC connected products.
All “software-side” “sources” aren’t considered sources you can “switch to”. You just open the respective app/page and play it from there, selecting the B&O device as an output.
Now that I write it, I realise it would therefore make much more sense to those items being referred to as “input list” rather than a generic “sources” (and would create less confusion).
16 November 2023 at 02:19 #49190Yes that is progress. But there is still a long way to go before we are able to do, what we could in the previous You may be right, but that will not keep me from pointing my finger on this issue. I fail to understand why all the sources, that I use should not be available in one unified ‘source list’. I do not see the difference in starting e.g. (a linked) cd source or the B&O Radio….
I totally agree about this un-user-friendly way to swap between hardware based sources and streaming
And what about legacy sources in the Theatre?

I do not see the difference in starting e.g. (a linked) cd source or the B&O Radio…..why do I have to change to a different page just to change to a radio program? These are things that keep me away from using the app and instead use my Beoremote One.
Maybe they want people to buy the remote ?
Why not use the same logic that we have there: a MUSIC and/or a TV button with the available sources.Furthermore – they should tell us, whether we will get direct access to linked sources in the BST (via app or remote)……or not.
Only an official statement about how the plan is, can keep me from ‘waiting or praying’!

Personally I never prayed for it but strangely the B&O radio source from my linked A9 shows on the Music list of my BLC NL/ML (BV8)… Music is doubled, and the never used (in Europe) Qplay is also back in the source list…
19 November 2023 at 03:27 #49192I thought B&O Radio was gone forever but it turns out that if I hit the “0” button at the top of the Beoremote Essence, and the device cycles thru available sources… there it is, B&O Radio!
It seems this is now the only way to access B&O Radio, at least in my setup.
Strange times.
19 November 2023 at 09:30 #49193I thought B&O Radio was gone forever but
B&O radio has always been there for devices supporting it natively (my example was BLC NL/ML which don’t support it).
To get B&O radio from the app, you just have to select your speaker/tv on the main menu, and then, instead of going in the black bar and try to find something on sources, you just have to click to the ((o)) (radio logo) button at the bottom right of the screen and select a radio, it is then played on the selected speaker. It’s the same for Deezer integrated (music « note » button at the bottom in the middle)
19 November 2023 at 10:14 #49194Hi,
I cannot find the way to change TV channel when using the app to control Theatre.
< > keys call the live playback function.
Any clue?
Yann.
19 November 2023 at 11:34 #49195Thanks, Mbee, I see it there!
Still odd that once one clicks on the black bar at the bottom, to show what’s now playing, the list of available sources is now very limited. N.Music and N.Radio and even Deezer and B&O Radio are all gone.
And yes, you are right that if one backs out, at least Deezer and B&O Radio survive on the white bar. Thanks!
