Hi all,
I have several BeoPlay M3 speakers connected to a Ruckus Unleashed network.
I’ve noticed in the critical error log of the speaker that every night the speakers reconnect to the Wi-Fi network.
Each speaker at a different time in the night, but with an exact interval of 24 hours.
I’m trying to figure out what’s causing this behavior. Is it the speaker that initiates the reconnect or is it the Wi-Fi network?

is the lease time for an IP address in your router set to 24h?
set, to try out, one M3 to a fixed IP address26 December 2023 at 05:28 #51571You’re right, the DHCP lease time is 24 hours. I’ve changed this to 7 days and set the IP of one M3 to fixed. I’m going to monitor the behavior for a couple of days.

The reason that I was looking into this, was that sometimes a speaker loses its network connection during the night and

I’ll take it up with B&O support. Is automatic software update on the M3 enabled? If so I would switch one off and control what happens
29 December 2023 at 12:07 #51574Automatic updates are disabled. The speakers are enrolled in the beta program. I’ve asked B&O support to remove them from the beta program.
