I note that a specialist in Denmark is offering aluminium top plate for many systems.

I have Beomaster 5000 unit and was wondering if there are any instructions on replacing the aluminium top plate

        Hi Mick

Take a hairdryer or a heatgun (not on full power) warm the topplate on one corner and rip it off with a tonge part for part as you heat it up.

be careful, the glue is very strong and you can cut yourself on the shrp aliminium edges or hit yourself with the tonge if you slip of the aluminium.

Clean all glue rests of and get a sheet of brushed aluminium, cut it to size and glue back in place.

        For me it worked well.

        Regards

        Christian

          Hello Christian,

I followed your instructions and guidance earlier today and the results on the 3 units (Amp/Tuner, CD50 and Cassette) came out perfect.

I purchased 3 plates from a specialist supplier.

Extremely happy with my work and result, review the photo.

          Thanking you and regards,
